DEGREE COLLEGE NALA is situated at present in Jamtara District. This college was established in 1988. At the time of establishment this college was in Dumka District. Nala is also a constituency of Jharkhand State. In this area higher education in darkness. Being inspired by the same the intellectual class of the locality after their thinking and study determined to establish the college. For such efforts in 1988 establishment in Nala Degree College. By providing land at village Gopalpur. The then Govt. of Bihar allowed temporary affiliation to this college for the incoming three year session 1994 ? 95 for Art faculty in pass course. It is noted that the distance of Govt. college Jamtara and Dumka are respectively about 45 km and 60KM away from Nala Degree College. For that reason also the only source of higher education is this Nala college. After obtaining temporary affiliation in session 1994?95 the then Govt. extended the temporary affiliation of this college for one more session positively. The local MLA and MP as possible as tried to renovate the college and succeed it again for the session 2004-05 and ensuing three session in Art and science faculty both pass and Honours level in total 27 subject. Temporary affiliation was granted. In course of time in 2007 this college granted permanent affiliation in total 27 subjects Arts and science faculty in pass and Honours courses by Jharkhand Govt. Ranchi since 2007-08 Grant is being provided by Jharkhand Govt. to this college properly. After necessary efforts registration in 2F and 12 B from UGC this college became succeed. Amount for Development was obtained from UGC fund. It is important to note that the college has its own land measuring about 15 acre 10 dec. On which own building standing. There are total three tube well and toilet in the campus of the college. In percentage of SC and ST students is about 40%  in which girl students are higher in number. The result of present final year both in Science and Arts is 73% and 89% .
